CPR Classes & Certifications

At Pump4ABeat, we believe that healthcare shouldn’t just start in the hospital, it should start in the community. Founded by David Cadet, a Registered Nurse with a passion for health equity, our mission is to equip individuals, families, and organizations with the skills needed to act during life-threatening emergencies.

All our core life-saving courses are certified by the American Heart Association (AHA), ensuring you receive the gold standard of training recognized by employers and healthcare institutions nationwide.

Our AHA Courses & Certifications

1. Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers

  • Who it’s for: Nurses, EMTs, physicians, dental professionals, and students in healthcare programs.

  • What you’ll learn: High-quality CPR for adults, children, and infants; the AHA Chain of Survival; use of an Automated External Defibrillator (AED); and effective team dynamics during multi-rescuer resuscitation.

  • Certification: Valid for 2 years.

2. Heartsaver® CPR AED

  • Who it’s for: Teachers, daycare providers, fitness trainers, and anyone in the general public who wants to be prepared.

  • What you’ll learn: Fundamental CPR techniques and AED use for adults and children, as well as how to assist a choking victim.

  • Certification: Valid for 2 years.

3. Heartsaver® First Aid CPR AED

  • Who it’s for: Corporate teams, construction workers, and designated workplace responders.

  • What you’ll learn: A comprehensive combination of CPR/AED training plus first aid basics, including managing bleeding, sprains, broken bones, and environmental emergencies.

  • Certification: Valid for 2 years.

4. Community Initiatives (Specialty Training)

  • Narcan (Naloxone) Training: Learn how to recognize and respond to an opioid overdose.

  • Stop the Bleed®: Vital skills to control life-threatening bleeding until professional help arrives.

  • Emergency Preparedness: Collaborative consultations to help your family or business prepare for the unexpected.

Please note that we offer only two training formats:

Virtual (Zoom) Training – This option is ideal for healthcare professionals or individuals who already have CPR experience and need a refresher or review. Participants must complete the required American Heart Association online course before the session. Training includes a virtual skills review and discussion via Zoom, certification verification, instructor guidance, and the opportunity for questions and scenario discussions.

In-Person Training (3.5 Hours) – This option provides a complete instructor-led classroom experience covering CPR, AED use, and First Aid. Training includes fully in-person instruction, hands-on demonstrations, guided practice, and scenario-based emergency response training. Participants receive an American Heart Association certification valid for two years. The cost is $65 per person, or $60 per person for work groups, organizations, churches, or groups of five or more participants.
